Answer

First we'll describe how to use the history file and create it A very powerful history program has been added to the DME system. Found on the reports menu , you can periodically add transactions to the history file using a range of dates. Then you can run several history reports down to the procedure code level. This file will allow the create of many custom reports for very specific information. In the event you feel you have built dates into the history file more than once, the history file can be deleted and just re-run for the entire range of dates again. This is what is does;, in a regular claim in our system one claim is equal to6 lines or one 1500 form. It is very difficult to break or sift thru the data this way. So the history file creates a file for each line item. You can run searchs on specific procedure codes and more! OTHER INFORMATION: clear the history file, by CLICK REPORTS OTHER REPORTS HISTORY TRANSACTION REPORTS CLEAR HISTORY FILE now BUILD the history file a the range of dates you want , you can use a wide range as well, like 010105 to 123105 then use the view search once your search results are what you want, you can PRINT THE SEARCH RESULTS

as part of your search you could include the procedure codes in the search (after history file is built)

or you can simply build history file for today or a range of dates, then
print the following report to obtain your itemdata.

SELECT REPORTS
OTHER REPORTS
DME REPORTS LIBRARY
the report is titled

THISTPLPROC

the description for this report is PRINT ITEMS FOR HISTORY FILE UPTO 5 PROC CODES

this reports takes the results of your History build and separates out items by procedure code
